Walter, as always you are brilliant. Unfortunately, all is lost. We are not going to be able to return education to what it was even a generation ago. Federal government overreach, money and teachers union dogma cannot be overcome. We just closed a private Catholic school in my hometown because the economy is so bad here in western NY all of the clients left for better paying jobs in the south. You would think the city would recognize that the $11,000 tuition and superior performance of this school would have made sense compared to the $18,000 per pupil we are spendng in our garbage public schools. Nope. Onward to destruction.

Ann Coulter's Conservative Sell-Out

Mike, you are the sellout. The choice between McCain and Clinton is clearly Clinton. McCain is the enemy of America. With him as president we will end up with a dem congress. On the contrary, Clinton is an enemy of america as well, but we will get a conservative congress if she is elected. McCain with a lib congress would amnesty 30 million Mexicans and you could kiss the US goodbye. Not that America isn't too far gone already, I'm just not ready for the 100% capitulation McCain has been fighting for. Quit pretending you aren't a RINO lover and be honest Mike. All you academics are the same.
So... the job is too big for him?

The point you make concerning married vs single parent household incomes is valid. The problem lies in the value of being a single mother. I saw an estimate based upon typical costs to Americans providing food, housing, cell phones, insurance, etc for these single moms. It is the equivalent of $48,000 a year for doing nothing but making babies. It is tough to get these women to marry and earn $50,000 ($25,000 each) annually when they can earn as much alone and not have to miss The View each day.
