Try reading their letters, their books, pamphlets, ect. They thought democracy was mob rule.

They hated tyranny and they KNEW that democracies were prone to resort to the tyranny of the majority over the rights of the minority, and would lead to chaos eventually. They were right. Look at Egypt as a modern day example. The Muslim Brotherhood is taking over. I'm sure women and Christians will enjoy ALL of their human or civil rights in Egypt going forward. It seems that Muslim run nations also have some issue with homosexuals. Iran's President, "Im-in-a-jihad", said they don't have any homosexuals in Iran. What happened to them all, ya little punk?
