You need to get real. How was the war in Iraq illegal? It was aproved by the US congress. The total cost of the war has been a trillion, but that includes Iraq, Afgan.,and all the other places in the world. As for the military, it is the only constitutional dept in DC. Ok the Treasury, State, and Justus dept. The fact that progressives are socialists historically means nothing to you? Try reading some history. The "one" has spent more money then all other pres. in history, going back to George Washington. And don't assume that all conservatives liked everything George Bush did. We did not like the proscription drugs give away, we did not like campaign finance laws, we did not like no child left behind, ect.

The idea that you have that it is only the province of the collage educated to teach is a laugh. Take a good look at the test scores of the high school kids, and the collage kids. My mother was from the south. There you bigoits go again. I have lived and worked over most of this country, and found the hardest working, and wisest people never went to collage. So take you holyer then thou attatude and shove it. I am very proud of my mother, she was the best and wisest teacher I ever had. She ran her own business twice. Was well-respected buy everyone, and loved buy every kid that meet her. This is not some one in a million thing. There are wonderful mothers out there all over the country. You should try living out side your little bubble world. Try the south, I think you will find that those folks are a smart, and as educated as anyone.

I find you answer with one state. In most states teachers are not considered essential employees, like firemen, or police. They can and do go on strike. When the teachers union went on strike in MN, the gov Ventura threatened to make them essential employees. The national chapters then came in swinging. Then we all asked if they are not essential, why not fire them, then we found out how educated and special they were and the state caved in. Yep, no issues there. This is how it is in most states. Anyone who works for the state or fed gov should not be tenured. No one has a RIGHT to a job.
