I agree with your post, with one exception - I wish everyone would stop calling it "Obama's stash"! It isn't Obama's money, people! It's ours - money that has been stolen from us through greater and greater taxation and "creative" bookkeeping by the government. Every last member of our government should remember who's money it is - and they should be reminded on a daily basis!!!!!

They will just do what the civil service workers did when Clinton shut down all those military bases in the mid 90's - fake an injury that nobody witnessed, find a doctor who will support the lie, then go out on workman's compensation.

I don't make anywhere near what Ann has quoted. I make half as much as that bus driver, and have a position that requires more education than a grade school level. So I'm not going to apologize for working for the government. I'm proud of being a conservative civil servant. It's always at the forefront of my mind that it is the taxpayers in the private sector who pay my salary. P.S. - I have no idea where Ann came up with an 80% return on a retirement salary. Unless it's what the "elite" public servants in Congress get. Because that sure isn't close to what us workerbees get. 20 years and you get 50%. And I also save for my own retirement. It's called the Thrift Savings Plan, with is the government equivalent of a 401k.
