You mean like steel pipe construction? Oh yeah, that's right, that won't be done here in America. My point is that Mr. Ransom is throwing around unsubstantiated numbers and passing them off as fact to purport an heir of "hypocrisy" by our President. Also you state that Obama spent a lot of money on jobs. I thought the conservative view was that Obama was anti-jobs. To me it sounds like your saying "yeah Obama creates jobs he just doesn't create them the way i want him to."
I just read another atricle where Mr. Ransom claims "Obama's New Job Plan: Kill 400,000 Jobs Immediately". Now it is down to 200,000? What will it be in 3 months John, 50,000 jobs?
Mr. Ransom, I was curious where your figure of 200,000 jobs comes from. The only place I could find that figure was from the U.S Chamber of Commerce which is a conservative lobbying group. TransCanada itself stated that figure would be more like 20,000 temporary US Jobs with permanent jobs ranging in the hundreds.

Really!? So my options are Jesus, Obama,or Ron Paul? I have no desire to worship at all, it just seems pretty archaic to me. I just appreciate when things are going my way and cope when things aren't and that wouldn't change regardless of worship or not. The only reprisal I fear when I do bad is my own conscience, not the afterlife and that is enough for me.

No, if I remember correctly I think the first use of it in recorded history was Zoroastrianism.

Here is another misunderstanding. The Humanist Manifesto was not written by atheists, it was written by "Humanists", it's there in the title and there is a difference. That would be like someone judging all Chrsitians based on attending the Westboro Baptist Church. Humanism is more religious in nature and some groups will regard Jewish and Muslim faith as Humanistic.

I generally use the golden rule which hasn't changed since the ancient Babylonians or approx. 1700s BC

It still amazes me how articles get written about atheism without a fundamental understanding of atheists. Just the fact that someone cannot comprehend that a person can be moral, compassionate, and appreciate life without believing in the existence of God baffles me. If a person cannot understand that a lack of compassion and morals is wrong then even reading the bible will not help them. Allow me to dispel some myths... Atheists know full well that like is precious and meaningful. Atheists are not immune to a spiritual experience. Not all atheists ignore the benefits of religion in society Atheism does not prevent a basis for morality.
"Ann uses facts to buttress her opinions, while Markos does not." ...and there is the cognitive bias, but like Resist says "more power to them" as long as they make money off of people like you they will keep writing them.
