Oh yes? And what is that 59% of all income taxes as a percentage of the income 'earned' by the wealthy? 10% perhaps? It's certainly a significantly lower rate than you pay. So in other words we have people who are the least able to bear high rates of income tax paying higher rates than those who are most able to pay. As I mentioned in an earlier comment, taxes on the wealthy are now significantly lower then they were when Reagan was President. As for the 1800's, if you think it would have been nice to live under the conditions of those times you are having yourself on.

So where are your references to 'every study' of which you write? Taxes on the rich were far higher in the Reagan years than they are now. Do you object to Reagan's tax policies? In taxes on the wealthy fact they were far higher under every administration than they are now. They are at record lows right now in this instant of time.

Did Mitt Romney or George W. Bush have to prove they were citizens? If you answer yes then I want to know how you know this. Obama provided his birth certificate after months of hateful heckling by a bunch of ignorant un-American psuedo-Christian rabble. That's something neither Bush nor Romney did. Also, if you had to show photo ID to vote that will have been implemented by local conservatives. Nothing to do with the President.

I really don't think you know what a socialist is. It certainly is not Obama.

Interesting article. Disingenuous but interesting all the same. I wonder how much of the deficit is the result of the ongoing war in Afghanistan and until recently Iraq? Or how much is it due to the continuation of President Bush's tax cuts? I wonder if the increase in people relying on welfare has anything to do with the recession. You remember the recession don't you? The one that started a full year before President Obama even took office. I wonder if the stubbornly high unemployment rate might be lower if the republicans in Congress had not made outrageous demands to pass any measures the president proposed to boost the economy. And then when their demands were met refused to pass them anyway.
