Gays can be leaders. Women can be leaders. Without realizing it, I think gays and women inadvertently work against their own objective of equality when they force private organizations to support gay and female leaders.
As I wrote here, gays and women are already equal before the Constitution, which defines us by our humanity, not by our sexuality, and is silent on most personal matters like marriage. Furthermore, the more the federal government defines our rights, the less free, equal and human we all become.
Here is what generally happens when minority groups confuse social acceptance with equality...

It's sad that you need this pointed out - Gay does not equal pedophile.
There is no bigotry or hate in my opinions. There is only an understanding of abnormal sexual preferences and their roots. One such preference is always going to be analogous to another; that's not saying they're equal.
Besides, you must be unaware of the extent to which the "pedo-rights" movement has tried to ride on the coattails of the "gay-rights" movement. There IS a parallel, whether you like (or understand) it or not.
"Gays were kicked out of the BSA because of the unfounded fears and prejudices of people like you." - Take a look at the (large) proportion of same-sex molestations compared to the (small) proportion of people having same-sex attractions, and you'll see how "unfounded" such concerns really are.
#2 - If you use the actions of a small group and apply them to everyone, is that fair? Should we use crime statistics to restrict the membership of black people in various groups? Should we ban all white men between the ages of 18-34 from high school and college campuses based on the recent history of shootings? I would say no, but based on your response, I'm guessing logic isn't relevant in your decisions.
