I see God discussed publicly all the time. If we allow one religion in schools, we have to allow all religions in schools. Schools are supposed to be about teaching children the skills they will need to live successful lives. Morals and religious values are the job of the parents. Honestly, do you want a stranger educating your children about what is right and wrong morally? Huckabee's comments boil down to his using this tragedy to push his own agenda about prayer in schools. As the article points out, how do his comments help the victims of this tragedy or help to prevent something like this from happening again?

IT IS REMARKABLE how confident so many people are that they know what causes – and just how to prevent – horrific massacres like Friday's bloodbath at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

In a TV interview over the weekend, one observer insisted that the mass-murder in Newtown was all too predictable, given America's failure to implement an obvious and desperately overdue reform. "Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?" this individual demanded, showing no hint of uncertainty about exactly what needs to be fixed.
