White House vs. Boy Scouts

Unfortunately, my Eagle certificate was signed by Jimmy Carter. However, my oldest son just earned his Eagle rank and told me flat out not to ask the current President for a congratulatory note or certificate. He asked if we would try to find an address for President Bush and ask him for a note of congratulations. Mr. Bush was one of the first to respond to requests from government officials. I'm very proud of my son. Now I know he really does understand patriotism and where the country is headed. He respects the Office, not the man.
