Ummmmmmm... Daniel? If you can show me the signature of Bush 43 on Stimulus I and Stimulus II legislation, I will gladly agree with you that the costs for those two bills belong to him. Since both bills were signed into law by Obama, that will be hard to do. Further, Obama's fingerprints are all over TARP as well. Does everyone forget that Dear Leader was a Senator -- who led the charge for TARP in between campaign appearances -- before he was Dear Leader? These contortions are stupid, and I'm ashamed at Daniel for getting suckered into it. No, Bush 43 was not a picture of frugality, but to blame most of Obama's spending on him is a bridge too far.
This "birther nonsense" is serious. But not for the reason you may think. It exposes the Establishment, (R) & (D) for what they are: Elitist tyrants who are quietly killing off the rights guaranteed within the constitution. I no longer believe Rinos are "scared of losing votes" and therefore not chasing this rabbit. The Rinos are complicit with the Progressives in assuring the constitution dies a quiet death. Once the constitution is "dead" Rinos and Progressives can trade off power, and the control of money.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could have swore when this story first broke, JP Morgan's CEO said they "lost" about $2 billion in risky investments, but they ended up MAKING $4 billion in profit for the quarter anyway. In other words, JP Morgan's "risky" investments didn't "lose" so much as they cut into quarterly profits. I've also noticed this little nugget of info has disappeared in any "news" reporting of this story and Dear Leader is out there touting how we "might" have had to bail them out. Why would you "have" to bail out a profitable (albeit not quite as profitable) bank?

Another Excuse from Both Ways Barack

This is an economy built on lies and propaganda. Don't tinkle down my back and tell me it's raining. The people are scared, VERY scared. Even during the Carter years they weren't scared, they were just disgusted. Dear Leader MUST lose in a landslide.

When history doesn't agree with you, you just make it up? The 2008 meltdown was caused by loans being made to people who couldn't pay them back for homes they couldn't afford. Who created that mess? Democrats! Doc, if you have the courage and a mind open enough to see the truth, go back and look at the econ numbers when W was prez, compared to now. Compare the numbers when Reps ran Congress and those when Dems did. Case closed.
John, John, John.... Have you not heard the axiom that you never ridicule someone else's religion? The Warmists are religious cultists; their religion being Mother Gaia (or some such rot) with the devil being played by man. What they believe, they believe on faith, and their reactions to criticism prove it. Science? They don't need no stinkin' science....
John, with all due respect, Dear Leader has had several policy victories. Obamacare (for now, anyway), rising gas and energy prices, in the process of "bankrupting" the coal industry and coal fired power plants, the nationalisation of two auto companies and the banking sector, many more Americans dependent on the government, and I could go on. The problem for conservatives is they view these as "failures", yet in Dear Leader's world they are victories. Never forget Dear Leader's words, "I would rather be a great 1 term president, than an average 2 termer." His goal was to "fundamentally transform" the U.S. And so far, he has succeeded.

Putting the Bull in 'Bully'

The irony is rich here... The very people who make a film about bullying and insisting that it is crucial to end bullying, are bullying to get the rating they want. I thought the anti-bullying crowd was all about mediation? Why don't the filmmakers mediate the content in order to bring the film a rating they think is advantageous? Or... is it only bullying when someone ELSE does the bullying. Does the left have any idea how hypocritical they look to the average American?

The Year Solar Goes Bankrupt

If your thesis were true, My, why is it that even with a subsidy, they can't sell the Chevy Volt? If what you say is true, My, why is it the solar industry is going bankrupt right and left? Tell me, My, when you look at the sky and see airliners traversing the near heavens, what "alternative" fuel stands at the ready to fill their fuel tanks? Tell me, My, which nation is it right now who is seizing the advantage on these "alternative" fuels/energy sources? Tell me, My, do you think for yourself, or are you only able to regurgitate what you read on DailyKos, Media Mutters, and MSNBC? And imagine, My, what would have happened if the Feds hadn't backed off their original assertion that the internet only be available for academic and...
The point Derek doesn't address, or only addresses in the most cursory way ("stuck in a pre-1994 mentality), is that those leading a "conservative" movement, aren't conservatives. They are establishment politicians. It is a well known fact that the RNC is hostile to conservative candidates and conservative views in general. How do we know this? They gave us McCain in 2008, and now Romney in 2012. This isn't about a movement, it is about power and control of the money -- OUR money. Establishment politicians of either the Republican or Democrat persuasions are just opposite sides of the same coin; and until We the People understand and rectify this, we will continue to go down the toilet as a nation.
