It is efficient to tax husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, and spend the credit of their well reared and patriotic children on feeding, clothing, educating, sheltering, medicating, and providing transportation for single mothers and her children. It is, of course, only fair to hire an army of detectives to chase down the father of these children and incarcerate him for not paying. It is likely that children and grand children will not care for grandma and grandpa. Before SS, people had no such human compassion and old people were put in wheel chairs, yes, but to roll them off of cliffs. It is, of course, unjust that humans should have to work at the burden of living with the life they were born with. Men hate women and children.

Nothing produces more of a sense of the futility of facts than seeing someone in the mass media repeating some notion that has been refuted innumerable times over the years.

On July 9th, on CNN's program "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer, commentator Gloria Borger discussed President Obama's plan to continue the temporary extension of the tax rates established under the Bush administration -- except for the top brackets, where Obama wanted the tax rates raised.
