So gay marriage doesn't make traditional marriage less important? Then why does the Secret Service put you in prison for 20 years for counterfeiting money? I thought my counterfeit $20 bill had no connection to your real $20 bill. Or does it? When everything can be called "marriage" then nothing is marriage and it is a meaningless term with no value.

You have different forms of currency. You have different forms of marriage.

You may have a twenty dollar bill. The person next to you may have four five dollar bills. You both have twenty dollars, and both are valid currency.

You tip your hand in an interesting fashion, thereby confirming Kevin's point. On a twenty or a five, it says that "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." You cannot reject a bill as invalid because it is of the wrong denomination. If the gay marriage proponents have their way, those who do not like it will not be allowed to treat it as invalid and will be forced, under the threat of criminal penalties or civil action, to act as if they believe that it is valid.

It is the way of the radical. In the end if you dare to disagree with them they will destroy you. NOT good peops.

Gay people are getting married in America TODAY...and you're still viewing it as invalid, right?
So what are you worried about?
You're still allowed to be prejudice, studpuppy. I mean, there's still many Americans who see blacks as inferior...
You're going to think whatever you want...it's not that big of a deal. Life and society will move forward with or without you. And if you want to stay behind, you are free to do so.

Well, so you will have the intellectual and moral integrity to oppose a law making it a hate crime to quote what Scripture has to say about phagotry? And you will be so decent as to allow people who have not "moved forward" to be allowed not to rent to gays or hire gays or do business with them? And you will allow reactionary parents to opt their children out of gay-is-good sex-ed courses in grade school and high school? You will? If you say you will not, you illustrate why we oppose you. And if you say that you will, we know that you are a liar.

For the first time, I am wondering about the long-term viability of the Republican Party. I say this not as an advocate of its demise or restructuring but as an observer of troubling signs.

The Republican Party is thought to be the institutional vehicle for the advancement of conservative policies, but for decades, the conservative movement has been frustrated with the party's deviation from conservative principles -- its refusal to live up to its decidedly conservative platform.

I believe that the disappointing results for Republicans in the 2006 elections and probably the 2012 elections, as well, were in no small part attributable to...
