Letterman used to be my guy. Funny. Creative. And, for the most part objective, an equal-opportunity joke-maker, if you will. In recent years he has turned strongly to the left, and he has done his audience - and himself - a disservice in the process. If he was that upset by the lies on the Detroit auto bankruptcy/bailout baloney from Obama, he should be downright catatonic at the lies now about the Benghazi debacle. It is terrible that our broadcast news outlets are now so uncontrollably biased that people seek to see what Letterman, Leno, and Jon Stewart have to say about matters of politics and deception by our so-called leaders.
willis8 needs to do just as he suggests to others: read the Constitution again. Specifically, the Establishment Clause. Government cannot endorse nor force a single religion upon the people. Recognition of religion in almost any format, though, was and is, still constitutional. Special interest groups have simply decided that they can eliminate religion by throwing out this concept of the 'separation of church and state", and it has largely worked in our liberal courts, despite there being no such instructions in the Constitution.
