If your friend is a Chicago liberal he is a thief a murderer, a rapist, a racist and child sex abuser. What in God's name are you doing with a friend like that?

Most liberals I know are good, well meaning people with a very strange view of the world.

BTW, Glenn Beck has had some of the most intelligent programs I have ever heard or watched. His review of the Progressives was a real eye opener--I was a fan of TR up until then. Then I read Bradley's "The Imperial Cruise" and realized what a dangerous bunch TR and Progressives were and how much harm they did that we are still suffering from today.

Maybe you should actually listen rather than ranting.

Like you know a thing about Chicago. Most liberals I've known are politically naive, but they're hardly murderers or rapists. And the people in Chicago are doing these things are blacks. Get it through your backward, uneducated head: They are black. Most American conservatism, by the way, borrows heavily from classical liberalism.

Conservatives these days need an excorcist to get the Glenn Beck out of their systems.

High on the list of things made better in our society are the great gains in civil liberties and economic opportunities, especially for racial minorities and women. People who are now deemed poor have a level of material wealth that would have been a pipe dream to yesteryear's poor. But despite the fact that today's Americans have achieved an unprecedented level of prosperity, we have become spiritually and morally impoverished compared with our ancestors.

Years ago, spending beyond one's means was considered a character defect. Today...
