Yes, having two women for "parents" or two men for "parents" is probably better than being aborted or left by the roadside to die. But, we've already had a couple decades of experimenting with fatherless families, and the results aren't pretty. I suspect that a couple of decades experimenting with LGBT parenting will probably also have its unintended consequences.
