I agree. That's probably why I never said that. But when the law of the land stipulates that Native Americans are not considered "persons" and are not permitted to vote or own real estate, it might dampen their praise of our devotion to freedome and property rights.
That would make a good bumper sticker

Agreed. When other regimes were toppled, there was total peace. Like in Iraq. We toppled Hussein, established a replacement government, and then there was total peace. Our troops were out of there by the end of the weekend. Same with Afghanistan. Total peace after we toppled the oppressive regime. Dude, what have you been smoking?
I was hoping to get some more intelligent responses, but we'll use this as a teaching opportunity. This is what I call the "Johnny-Was-Throwing-Stones-Toooooo" fallacy. We were supposed to learn this in kindergarten. The fact that another student was guilty does not justify my behavior. The fact that some Native Americans were bad does not justify our treating them all poorly. The fact that some practiced human sacrifice, torture and has what some elitists would refer to as "primitive and disgusting societies" does not justify our refusing rights, like property rights, to all of them. Let's have some better discussions in the future.
I how the Native Americans think of the European immigrants' view of property rights.
