If General Petraeus was a poor military officer, he surely fooled a lot of people for a long time. That guy had more medals than Audie Murphy and George Patton combined. If he earned another couple, he would have had to get taller so that he would have room on his uniform to display them.

This is a provocative question that I will begin to answer with another question: Did America prevail in the Iraq War? I suspect few would say "yes" and believe it, which is no reflection on the valor and sacrifice of the American and allied troops who fought there.
