Chairman Camp of the House Ways and Means Committee is afraid to attempt anything significant regarding the tax code (including the Fair Tax). Whether it is because the Speaker and the Majority Leader tell him what to do, or whether he knows that the Senate would not even consider the Fair Tax (and, of course, Obama would simply veto it, anyway), he simply has done little or nothing about the Tax Code since he became Chairman.

I’m a big fan of the flat tax as a way of neutering the punitive and convoluted internal revenue code in Washington.

But I’m even more aggressive at the state level.

That’s why I’m very excited about a new proposal from Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana.
