I opened this article in the expectation that Mr. Ransom would tell us what magical event was destined to happen during the third week of January. However, I was disappointed--no such event was described. In my opinion, we are long past the "beginning of the end." Instead, we are well into the middle-game, rapidly hurtling toward the end.
