Our Politicians do no know how to negotiate. During my career in the market place, I negotiated contracts as a supplier of components to one of the Nations Defense Contractors. Weeks of secret preparations were made before the two day session each year. No one wanted to give away their weekness. I always studied the strategy & tactic of negotiating that I had learned in Courses that I had taken. Back to my original premise: Politicians don't know about negotiating. One of the examples always covered in these courses was the Negotiation between China and the US in the Viet Nam Peace talks. The US was always up against a self imposed time line. Boehner lost the debate onNov. 7, when he made an offer. The first to speak after the( month's long) quiet period in negotions is always the looser. He gave away his weakness immediately. Since then he has been debating with himself. But the MSM is constantly catting the opposite " The president keeps making offers and Boehner wont move. I say go over the MSM created cliff.

You have talked yourselves into believing that there is no choice. You fear the voters’ wrath because the MSM tells you a failure to reach a deal with the president will produce that wrath. This is the MSM we all know is so fair and disinterested on such things.
