Many of today's conservatives like to boast that they give more to charity than the liberals do. How is this measured? Who gives more, a poor person who gives their last dollar or a billionaire who gives a million dollars to charity? What did Jesus say about this? How does one measure one's 'time' given to charity?

Jesus referred to charity of the individual not Government. What is certainly is uncharitable is when government barrows 40 cents on the dollar from China then runs up a $16 trillion debt.
What would Jesus say about us condemning our Children to future poverty? Is that charitable?
