More dependent on who is stating the "facts." There is an interesting article about how the government scientists who are debunking the "facts" are being fired or forced to resign because they don't support the party line. Hottest year on record? That "fact" is also being debated. There were hotter years recorded in the 1930's and you can verify that fact. Add that to the fact that records have only been kept for less than 75 years and your "facts" don't seem so influential. Where I live the past several summers have been so cool that many crops failed. China just went through a period of the coldest weather on record. Saudi Arabia and much of the Middle East received their first snowfall in years.
New research out notes that self-identified liberals are indeed more liberal - with the ignore and block buttons on social media platforms when it comes to arguments they disagree with.
