20 Reasons America Is Becoming An Increasingly Nonfunctional Society

Thanks. Your list is a start. To seniors what we see is so perplexing as to be terrifying. How can a people who profess to be sharp be so stupid, and think themselves so good but yet be so immoral? How can a once intelligent people give away "the best thing ever," namely their own, fully funtioning, operating on all cylinders democratic COUNTRY to interlopers, snake oil salesmen and a parade of border crossing ursupers which seem to have no end. Rather than sticking to things that work (the contra-points to the list in the article) we allowed liberal thinking to muck up almost every aspect of our society. How in the hell are we going to get back to our future? If we don't we are done. Is this what people really want? A Fifth World USA?

Your morals compass does not define me. I was on birth control many, many years from Planned Parenthood. They offered the meds at a reduced rate. I'm grateful for them. Because I was able to get reduced pills. I did not meet the man I married until age 30. We now have two successful businesses and 3 healthy sons. I paid over $250k in taxes last year. My education and lifestyle would not be possible without the birth control pills subsidized by PP because unlike you I'm a moral less hussy who had sex outside of marriage. Instead you would want me to have out of wedlock kids or abortions. I don't feel the need to pay for fatty and his diabetes but my many tax dollars do. I also do not feel the need to pay for the ancient and all

Sounds like you had more interest in your sex life than you did in getting an education. How about we raise the moral value bar instead of lowering it. Sex is now all about recreation and not the intended purpose of pro-creation. Promiscuity is rampart, STD's are prevelent, it is a shame that self control and personal responsibility have been tossed to the wind.

I don't understand how you make the leap from "birth control is a good thing" to "the government (that is, you and I) should pay for it for others." And you might want to consider a defined benefit plan or three if you have 3 businesses and really did pay over $250k in taxes last year. (But how could you have? My accountant refuses to finalize my 1120S until treasury regulations come out. Maybe you mean the year before last.)

Gina, how about a checkbox on the Federal tax form, like we already have for Presidential Campaign Funding? You can choose to donate $1 or more to the fund from your tax refund.
Then nobody who opposes it if forced to pay for it. it would be totally voluntary.

They are not stupid..repeat, they are not stupid! The are devious and cunning and seek to form an evil empire extension her in America and like all deceivers they cover what they intend to do with nice talk. (remember Satan quoted scripture to God)
Try this one. Abortion--it's for the children.
BTW-the GOP is but part of the same antik-freedom, anti-God ruling class.
Any means to an end--Karl Rove's (GOP's paid hit man) philosophy as well as Alinsky's.

1) Starting in the sixties there was an explosion of children born out-of-wedlock and kids who don't grow up in two parent families fare more poorly percentage wise on just about any and every scale imaginable including substance abuse, teenage pregnancies, suicide rates, criminality and homelessness.

2) Many people are becoming so childlike in their dependence on the government that they can't save for their own retirement, escape from an oncoming hurricane, or even purchase their own birth control without the government handling it for them.

3) Our legal system encourages frivolous lawsuits, is punitively expensive...
