I built a house in the woods and bought a wood stove for heat and received a tax refund for it. So, we must be pushing wood fuel too. When I worked in industry I learned that using wood for fuel is the lowest value use, after lumber, paper and strand board, even particle board. The government solution in my home town, last year, close the saw mill and build a wood fuel plant. Wow.

Sounds typical. This is very much the same reason that Ethanol will not work as a motor fuel. You always get less out than you put in.
