Ron..........of course you're correct: 6 years. But, how will it ever happen? Unless the Tea Party becomes an unstoppable force and gets tea party folks elected, no Democrat nor Republican will ever agree to the term limit(s). Even though the TP is realtively new, I haven't seen any wide spread corruption or actually any at all. If they are our future, I hope we can get them going on a large national scale: soon! Of course, that will be the end of the traditional Republican Party, but they have become nothing more than slightly more conservative than the democrats.

doofus. I'll take the doofus everytime. At least his agenda is not to destroy my country.

Now that Romney has picked his running mate, it's time to stop slapping each other on the back and to begin working on the folks that are 'undecided' at this point. It doesn't matter who or whom he has chosen to be his running mate, if we can't get him elected, what good have we done? Ryan appears to be a good, conservative man with moral values and should be electable. Personally, I wouldn't have chosen him but I'm not the candidate; Romney could have done a lot worse. I hope everyone viewing this newsletter will take the time to speak to at least one undecided voter and try to explain where this country is headed under Obama rule. I didn't coin this, but I have read an antedote that says we have two choices: a socialist or a (cont)

A friend of mine (also a die-hard conservative) said in one of his emails that our choice this year is between a doofus and a socialist. We agreed that we'll take the doofus everytime. As far as his overseas trip, when you have a doofus as a candidate, what does anyone expect.

As soon as we get this socialistic "elected" government out, things might, just might, get better.

It's one of the many 'flaws' in polls. If they (whomever they are) only asked 18-30 yo, then it makes sense because this grou, as a whole, has no sense. Most of the political talkers are now realizing this age group elected him. When you've never had to shoulder any responsibility, this is what happens. There are a lot of 18-30's that work hard and most likely have more responsibility than I ever had. Unfortunately, the most haven't.

I'm not sure. I'm an old fart and have about 20 young kin around here. Out of the 20, 18 think the liberal plank is the only thing in the world and the other 2 are a little shaky. I've talked and illustrated how things work until I'm blue in the face but to no avail. As I said, they eithe don't listen or think you're just old and out of touch. I fear for this country.

Good article, Dennis. Now, just how do we get the young, liberal folks to read it? Much less, believe it. Maybe most of the folks on here have better luck in talking with the young, liberal voters, but in my experience, they 1) wont listen to you, 2) listen and think you're crazy or 3) listen and then begin to spout the liber propaganda. If anyone has a solution, I do listen and try to heed.

I may not be as faithful as you, but no doubt, there are a lot of us who do not consider ourselves Republicans who will vote for Romney even though we don't necessarily like him nor his message. I keep hoping and praying that a new(er) conservative party will just erupt and that all of us that are or claim to be conservatives will have a place to call home: politically. Since the Democratic Party is preaching and adhering to the principles of the Communist Party of the USA (circa 40s thru 60s), there is no need for a Communist candidate anymore. Don't know if the Tea Party is the answer or not, just want something to happen by 2016.........in my opinion this is the only hope America has.
