Didn't Obama promise to end the war in Afghanistan by now? And what happened to the daily body counts from the media?

Bush said that we would be treated like liberators by the people of Iraq. How did that turn out? You do know that it was Bush's idea to fight both of these wars.

Ya missed my point, Kush. The media is all but ignoring the body count under Obama. They are just as dead and their families are just as distraught under Obama. And, how many stories are you hearing about individual families that are truly hurting because of Obama's economic policies? Oh wait, excuse me. It's all the fault of Bush. As Madeline Albright said recently, Bush will get the blame "forever." She wasn't kidding.

The media only do daily body counts of war casualties when there is a Republican in office. Apparently dead soldiers aren't as significant when Democrats are at the helm. Same goes with sob stories about hard times and the plight of the poor. If a Republican was presiding over our current economy, you would see non-stop stories about how the situation affects individual families and people who live on the street. Under Obama, the devastation his policies have wrought upon families is invisible. I guess that is why Obama must read the letters from hurting people. Otherwise he wouldn't know that 23 million people who are unemployed or under-employed have very sad stories to tell.

he has gotten killed twice as many as GWB in 3 1/2 years to Bush's 8 so they can't talk about it anymore

Mitt Romney was criticized across the aisle for not specifically mentioning the war in Afghanistan during his acceptance speech at the RNC. He did, however, mention the the military in more general terms:

"His trillion dollar cuts to our military will eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs, and also put our security at greater risk. ... Everywhere I go, there are monuments ... for those who have given their lives for America. There is no mention of their race, their party affiliation, or what they did for a living. (APPLAUSE) They lived and died under a single...
