Is This What Obama Intended?

Kayla11 Wrote: Aug 22, 2010 3:49 PM
Obama wants to be in control of everything, and hopefully most of this country knows that if he gets even more power, our country is in for an even ruder awakening. He obviously does not know what is good for this country. If he were to be in charge of major companies and such, I am sure that he would put that responsibility into the hands of those working for him. Just because he wants to be in charge of it and in control of it, does not mean that he wants the added responsibility of running it on top of his other presidential duties. For him to be able to say what is and isn't a working class citizen would be ridiculous. He will do and probably succeed, in what he wants to do. This will probably be something that will not the...

Higher Education: Why Pay More?

Kayla11 Wrote: Aug 19, 2010 2:01 AM
Thank you so much for writing this column. It has really opened my eyes on different colleges. I am sure that many people did not know the difference in what expensive colleges actually make education-wise. I know that I personally was not going to go to an expensive college, I know that many of my friends were. Although this is the case for all of the colleges that you studied up on, it may not be for all of them. I know that you probably already know this, but some might not. Thanks again! TIMBAP_KAS
Whatever happens, a child is almost always better off with both parents living in the same house and still married. I understand when people get divorced, but when you blow off any chance at saving a relationship or even making a relationship work for a child, it is just stupid. Having children out of wedlock is just a stupid decision to make in the first place. You should always wait to have kids when you are married and know that the marriage is going to work, which you should know before getting married in the first place. TIMBAP_KAS

America on the Brink

Poor believe what they choose to believe. I know personally, that I was not that into politics until Obama was elected. Everything has gone downhill from there. Obama is ruining this country and everyone who did not vote for him for that very reason, are getting mad at everyone who did vote for him. The fact is, most of the people who voted for him are now, at least deep inside, regretting their choice in our country leader. But this alone will not solve anything. Obama's liberal regime will not solve any of our problems, it will just make all of our problems more prominent. TIMBAP_KAS

Computer Hackers and Terrorist Backers

Kayla11 Wrote: Aug 10, 2010 12:20 AM
If they try to take care of suspicious people this way, no one is going to go to prison for treason or terrorism. There is only so much that he can say, that people will eventually start to think his excuses are useless to helping his own cause. It is ridiculous to say say that on many occasions, his email was hacked. After the first instance, they would have taken care of it supposedly and there would have been no more emails being sent out in that manner. TIMBAP_KAS

Low Volt-age

Just as you said, they are trying to dream up things that will never happen. Even though they say that they are trying their trying to help the environment, it will most likely never be met with everyone buying cars like the 'Voltswagon'. Also, the idea of have the working class pay for the upper class to buy cars and such is ridiculous. How can that even seem to be fair? TIMBAP_KAS

Racism and the Small Business Jobs Act

Kayla11 Wrote: Aug 03, 2010 1:49 AM
This is ridiculous. It would just make it harder to try to turn everything (bank-wise) into everyones' native language. The legislation should seriously consider talking and consulting with a group of small business owners and such. Either way, someone is going to call-out and say what they are doing is racist. Just reading this makes me on the verge of tears. It is disturbing how many people feel that it is ok to kill a beating heart. The moment the egg is fertilized, it is a human being, even if there are those who believe differently. All life is precious and should be treated as such. Don't be the murderers of your own children. I am glad that more people have come to there senses. TIMBAP_KAS
I do not know for sure if this is right, but I believe that about 33% of the world population is made up of kids under 18. Now, that is the whole world, but that just shows how much of the USA is made up of them. Family movies are usually made well enough for even the parents of families to love the movies. This brings them to take their whole family even more often. Since many families are made up of at least four, that would be bigger than a couple going to see an R rated movie. This may be really unorganized, but I think you got my point. TIMBAP_KAS

Summer Books

Kayla11 Wrote: Jul 22, 2010 11:44 PM
Good suggestions, although none that I would be interested in reading. I do strongly agree that it is very important for children to keep reading constantly during the summer. If they do not, their level may drop drastically. This would be very bad during the next school year when they are not able to meet the standards of the current year amongst their fellow classmates. Adults also. They may not think it important, but it is indeed very important. TIMBAP_KAS
