Sarah and Barack

I used to say to the people who would deride Palin when she ran for VP that she was the Republican's Obama: young, fresh, interesting, a minority (as a woman). Except that she had more experience than he did. I could never understand why anyone queasy about Palin as a possible President could vote for Obama with an even thinner resume as a certain President. And I live in Chicago. Please. As someone put it, they turned it into Wasilla CSI while ignoring all the crap that goes on in Obama's very own backyard.

Futhermore, for all the flak Palin got for her geography quote, at least she knew that Russia shares a border with Alaska. That's more that one could say for Obama: he didn't even know that his home state of IL shares a...

Blind Diversity Equals Death

If Muslims don't want to serve, by all means they shouldn't. I don't see why he wasn't just let go. Honestly, just kick them out/let them go.
I understand the importance of weeding out crazy Muslim extremists. We shouldn't push away moderates who genuinely want to be a part of the American way. Once any Muslim exhibits sympathy toward jihadis, however, they should be dealt with seriously. Let's not pussyfoot around this. Catholics endured years of putdowns and careless stereotypes about pedophile priests, even though these are a minority of priests and action has been taken to rectify this. Pedophilia is not institutionally sanctioned; it's a sin, a shame and a disgrace, and any Catholic will tell you that. Yet, against the...

The Letter Joe Wilson Should Write

Thanks for putting this all down. Libs have short memories. When reminded of their very off putting, crass behavior that was tolerated by Bush and our party, they can't recall anything they've done which was inappropriate. Hypocrites to the nth degree.
Frankly, when will Mr. Obama apologize for his lying? yes, Mr. Wilson was inappropriate, but let's not forget that Obama's misleading statements and outright lies are far more egregious a crime than a "You lie!"

"Let's be fair, He said equal work means equal pay"
Should be : "Let's be unfair, unequal work means equal pay"

"He said all should lend a hand to make the country strong again"
Should be: "All should lend a hand to make the country weak again" (this part should be translated into Russian, Persian and Korean to be understood by the best helping hands there are for this: Putin, Ahmadinejad and Kim, our newest BFFs)

"He said red, yellow, black and white, all are equal in his sight."
Come on, let's be serious. It's BLACK POWER TO THE BROTHERS. Please see Gates, Wright, Van Jones, et al.
This is ridiculous. Had I cautioned anyone in my Chicago suburb that this might/could happen in the schools, people would have scoffed and laughed that I was being paranoid. I guess I'm not paranoid enough, since this clip is truly Ridiculous.

I'm glad I wrote my school administration to tell them that my daughter would not attend class if the president's speech were to be read. She goes to private school----I hope they don't cave to this kind of dumb "education".

Strategic Race Baiting

Well put, Mr. Jackson. I hope that the party will appear more welcoming to people of all colors. What the Republicans stand for is far too important to be weighed down by issues of skin color (which is exactly what the libs love to do). I hear these charges that the RNC is racist, and while I may be naive, I simply don't think it's true. I'm so glad that Michael Steele is an African American, and I"m proud of our black conservatives who probably face more pressure about being Republican than those of other races. I'm hoping that in the end, truth wins out.

I'm married to a liberal who fancies himself a moderate/independent (even though he's never voted for a Republican except once for a city council post). I know NEVER to support who he would pick for my party, even though he says, "If the Republicans take McCain, I may actually vote Republican in November." Well, they did, but he didn't. And, no surprise there. I wonder why some people, a lot, think we should swing "moderate" by a liberal's definition.

I think the best way to win votes is to stay true to what we believe in, especially now that Obama is tacking extreme left. No sense in a muddied candidate like Scozafazza---why was she a Republican in the first place? How is she different from Owens anyway? Had the RNC endorsed...

Let's Call it Infirmative Action

"Infirmative" Action.
I like the turn of phrase. Truly, affirmative action doesn't actually "affirm" anyone, least of all the alleged beneficiaries. It is affirming to treat everyone equally regardless of race, religion or creed.
