In response to:

Did a Gay Activist Lie to the New Jersey Senate?

KathyCanyonwalker Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:13 PM
As a "man of God", I would expect Mr. Brown to not lie either. Actually, I would have higher expectations on this. Mr. Brown constantly mis represents people that are gay and trans and feeds the fear filled frenzy of groups frightened of people unlike themselves. Mr. Brown is a Jewish believer and has forgotten the roots of his faith that tell him and ALL of us to welcome the stranger and to treat the stranger as God would. In the Torah, that instruction appears 33 times. In 5400 verses, it appears 33 times. And in 54K verses, there are six that reference a same -sex action. And this is where we are to camp on the six that are misapplied? No first century Jew, would have had ANY understanding of sexual orientation.

That's because the term "sexual orientation" is a garbage definition made up to justify unnatural perverted and sinful sexual behavior.

Clearly, Kathy, your phobia is of the Bible.

Your ignoring the substance of article makes us think you have no rebuttal, beyond attacking the author, of course.

Ever heard "there is nothing new under the sun"?

Kathy, if I tell someone who is a homosexual, "Hey, if you continue to be a homosexual, you're in danger of going to Hell. If you confess your sin, receive Jesus, and repent - turn around and go the other direction - you will avoid Hell and go to Heaven," why is that considered hateful? Just wondering...

Kathy would rather they keep feeling good about their destructive lives. Some "love" there, huh?
Chries Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:46 PM
Warning people of imminent danger maybe one of the purest expressions of love and care.
KathyCanyonwalker Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 1:52 PM
Shaming and rejecting people is destructive, not being of a normal variation of human sexuality.
KathyCanyonwalker Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 1:53 PM
I am here to WARN you of the imminent danger, past danger and future danger you are all doing to a class of people and to the church.
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 2:05 PM
"Shaming and rejecting people is destructive" -- Does that apply to pedophiles too? Are you saying they shouldn't be shamed?

"not being of a normal variation of human sexuality" -- Homosexuality is not a normal variation of anything. Assuming that is your first, and most fatal, mistake.

"I am here to WARN you of the imminent danger" -- Your warnings are based on a fictitious understanding of homosexuality in particular and of the real world in general.

Kathy, it's obvious you are not ignorant about Scriptures. No, what you are is someone who twists Scriptures to try and justify her sin.

First off, Old Testament Law was very clear that homosexual sex was an abomination and those engaging in it should be put to death. The kindness to strangers verses apply to foreigners who wanted to live peacefully in Israel and abide by its laws. Therefore it is ridiculous to claim that a first century Jew would have had no understanding of sexual orientation.

Secondly, New testament Scriptures, particularly Romans 1 are very clear that homosexuality is a sin.

Please be intellectually honest, alright?
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 2:03 PM
If it's clear to you, it says something about you, not about Romans.
Mark in CA Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 2:06 PM
I thought you were being intellectually dishonest. Evidently you are simply dense.
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 2:12 PM
Typo: If it's *not* clear to you.
pascagoulapappy Wrote: Mar 26, 2013 12:12 AM
Thans for clearing that up! Reminds me of a printing of the Bible that , by a printer's error, left the word "not" out of the Decalogue.
jvictoria Wrote: Apr 02, 2013 8:56 AM
Kathy is reading her Bible though an idol. What Kathy does is pure evil as she is telling people their sinful behavior is good. She is condemning them to perdition. Kathy should be ashamed of herself.
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:18 PM
The God who created sexuality understands sexuality. And anyone who understands the design of sexuality, and sees it honestly, knows that attraction to the wrong sex is a serious issue.

Sorry, but you can't make reality go away with your excuses.
KathyCanyonwalker Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:22 PM
He SURE does! And unfortunately His followers that hold fear at their core will not do the work in the Bible and with people that do not understand to come to a more godly perspective on this issue.
Mr. Brown in turning people against the gay community in a huge majority of his posts. He is doing tremendous damage in and out of the church.
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:25 PM
I do not hold any position of homosexuality based on "fear."

"do the work in the Bible and with people that do not understand to come to a more godly perspective on this issue." -- The "godly perspective" is that any departure from God's design for sex is harmful and unacceptable. THAT's why people oppose legimitizing homosexuality.

The gay lifestyle killed my onetime best friend. You would consider my warning him away from that to be "hate," and consider it "love" to tell him to keep up what he was doing.
DCM in FL Wrote: Mar 25, 2013 12:34 PM
"Maybe if shame and rejection had not been piled on his life" -- Typically, "shame and rejection" had very little to do with his sadness. Rather, it was the deep inner conflict between what he was driven to do and what he knew he should do.

"YOU are contributing to other people's best friends spiraling into lives of rejection and risky behavior." -- That's as baseless as a baseless accusation can get. My friend, BTW, would have laughed in your face at that.

"Get educated on this" -- You're asking me to know LESS than I do just so I'd agree with your opinions. Sorry, not going to happen.

There was one particular testimony before the New Jersey Senate detailing the dangers of “gay conversion therapy” that was so riveting that it sounded like something taken straight out of a Hollywood script. It now appears that it was taken straight out of Hollywood. So, not only is the New Jersey Senate in danger of passing a terribly unfair, discriminatory bill, but the most compelling testimony presented appears to be a fabrication.

Before getting into the details of what appears to be an incredible hoax, it’s important to understand the nature of this very dangerous bill, which would make it illegal...
