Not just a military gun-free zone but a military gun-free zone within a city-wide gun-free zone. Just last week, bikers in town for the 9/11 remembrance were being warned to divest themselves of even expended gun cartridges, which would offend the gun control laws in the District.

Interestingly enough, OPM (the Office of Personnel Management) uses SSL automatically but SSA (the Social Security Administration) doesn't even offer it when you type the https:// manually.
Freedom of speech is one of those inalienable rights mentioned in the Declaration of Independence that belong to all people, and are not granted by governments. The 1st Amendment to the Constitution just ensures that Congress is specifically forbidden to make any law abridging that right. I'm afraid that Mr. Morgan is only guilty of exceedingly bad manners. Those who object to his behavior would be better served by letting CNN know of their disapproval.

Tish6, Please note that books in the .mobi or .prc or .pdf format are readable on the Kindle. Daddio7 above listed several of my favorite non-Amazon sources for Kindle readable books. Another is Smashwords. Some authors sell e-book versions in multiple formats directly from their own web sites.

Whereas, I had nothing but great customer service from Amazon when my first Kindle failed after more than 2 years of hard use. They first attempted to restore it by troubleshooting it over the phone and then promptly issued a return authorization, credited my account with a more than fair used value and sent me a new one immediately. I was without a physical Kindle for about 3 days, but was able to continue reading my Kindle books on-line while I waited. I also read hard copy books but I buy them used at library books sales.
