Don't feel badly for Lugar. He had no residence in the state where he served as their senator. The electorate has started imposing its own form of "term limits" and Lugar needed to retire and give that seat back to the voters. Any friend of Obama (which Lugar is-- you have heard Obama mention him numerous times) is no friend of the smaller government contingent. No more compromising and "reaching across the aisle" (code for giving in to the leftists). Republicans need to take a principled stand NOW. If we wait we will be supporting more than half of the country that receives bribes disguised as social justice benefits and then we will have no voice.
