Excdlldng, Ocarol500 - why don't we all write to our Congressmen and women and propose just one bona fide cut to our national spending spree. If each of us offered only one suggestion, and then hammered Congress to actually consider it, I'll bet we could cut the government by a good bunch.

That's a good idea Kathleen404 but if you have ever written a letter to your congressperson you probably have figured out that they don't read the mail sent from constituants. They simply send you a formatted response by a staffer.
Sometimes I think it's the staffers that we should be electing now that we know that most members of congress don't even read the legislation that they purportedly write.
It's all written by staffers...
