Colin Powell Pulls the Race Card, Again

Powell is the one who brought race into the discussion first when he said there was a "dark vein of intolerance" in the Republican party when facts show a far different picture. He has sold out.

The "dark vein of intolerance" is evident to anyone with normal powers of perception who is not in the right wing of the GOP. That doesn't mean everyone there is a racist. but it does mean there is a stunning capacity for denial about those who are. You'll find the same behavior in any extremist cult that finds its carefully constructed picture of "reality" challenged. And again like a cult, there is the "shunning" of people formerly considered allies who dare to voice inconvenient truths about the group.

Last night on the O'Reilly Factor, former Secretary of State Colin Powell again accused the Republican party of racism, saying calling President Obama lazy is code language despite Obama referring to himself as lazy. Powell's comments come two weeks after he said the GOP had a "dark vein of intolerance" on NBC's Meet the Press.
