Just found out that according to Moochelle's "research" being 30 pounds overweight is considered "obese." How she can say with fervor & her usual condemnation is incredible considering the fact that (a) she surely ain't no skinny minnie & (b) she can stand to lose a minimum of 30 pounds. But enough about this - let's ban bake sales

Government knows best! At least, in Massachusetts it does. In an attempt to curb children's expanding waistlines, the state government has banned junk food from school grounds during the day (and they're pushing for an extension into evening activities, too). 

At a minimum, the nosh clampdown targets so-called “competitive” foods — those sold or served during the school day in hallways, cafeterias, stores and vending machines outside the regular lunch program, including bake sales, holiday parties and treats dished out to reward academic achievement.
