the only reason i see for the rush among republicans to push this through is fear of character assassination by the left in 2014 and 2016. there is no actually compelling reason for any of this nonsense. certainly they cannot demonstrate any benefit that will accrue to any native-born taxpaying citizens from legalizing the entire bottom rung of a failed civilization.

an accurate, serviceable recitation of talking points from the huffpo memo. no light added, of course. but so long as you were able to self-aggrandize at the expense of strangers, then I guess it's a win. typical progressive-lite.

why the rush? what's the crisis? The answer that the system is "broken" is meaningless and adds no understanding. Why the rush? Is legalizing 30 million dependents really the pressing issue we face? Even more important than socialized medicine and the surveillance state? How do we, the native-born taxpayers benefit from the creation of 30 million new socialist voters? Why are our preferences, dreams and desires ignored and even denigrated in favor of those of the foreign invader class? Why won't golden boy rubio answer these questions forthrightly? "Broken" is an abstraction no more meaningful than "hope" or "change." it is soft clay into which the listeners' prejudices may be pressed.
