Exactly! How many out there can still diagram a sentence? How many times have you heard someone ask the question "where are you at?" I cringe every time I hear an otherwise intelligent person allow those words to fall out of their mouths. If you cannot understand the language, you are liable to have your language undermine all that you hold dear because you cannot see and know that it has been used against you and your freedoms have disappeared.

My mother announced when I was 14 that during the summer, I was too old to just sit around the house for the summer, and I had to get a job that year, or she would find one for me. I spent my summer babysitting for the four children of one of her co-workers. I rode my bike there and back home at the end of the day. I have held a job for almost all of the years since then. When my own children turned 15, I told them the same thing. By then, I had better job skills and was able to help them find better jobs. They are now all self-supporting and paying taxes. In many ways, it was quite a lesson for them to learn about withholding. It also helped them to learn the difference between liberals and conservative politics!
