Move to Mexico if you want to be a Mexican - but you'd better do it legally - they will toss you in jail and throw away the key if you go to Mexico illegally...

You are precisely correct, Kali. I live in Mexico, and the double standard is in place here: a strong, militarized southern border (where if you cross illegally, you will be robbed, beaten, raped, imprisoned, then deported - not necessarily in that order, mind you) yet insisting on an open, porous northern border. Chavez would be consistent and believable if she simply demanded we repeal all federal immigration laws and open the borders to all comers. But to ignore them or refuse to enforce them, because it might lose us votes, is illegal, immoral, and illogical. Yet she continues to spout this nonsense on TH. I wonder if she leaves her OWN house open for all to enter?????
