Kyle’s Extra Credit Assignment

Tinsldr2: I believe what Dr. Adams is trying to show is a student who, after being informed at the beginning of the semester that there would be no extra credit, is petitioning for it none the less to salvage a poor grade average. Now, you are equating Dr. Adam's recent lawsuit with this, saying that he effectively asked for the same thing the student did, and received it via a biased/poorly informed jury. I disagree. I think this scenario is more fitting. Let's say a teacher is giving a final exam in the form of a research paper. The professor lays out the criteria that must be met, the research that must be done and the format the final paper must be in. The students do their work and hand in their papers. When the grades are handed out one student, let's call him Mike, approaches the professor to ask about his grade. The professor says: "Well, Mike, you did follow my guidelines, you did all of your research and you provided the paper just as I requested. BUT, I don't care for your views and I just don't like your conclusion. SO, even though by the standards handed to you, the ones all of your fellow students followed as well and earned As for their work, you SHOULD be earning an A, but I am giving you an F. Have a nice day." THIS is what they mean by not getting what you deserved. You did the work, you followed the rules, you produced the same product as your peers, yet you were given much less based on the bias of your superior. THIS is what the law is SUPOSED to protect you from. What Dr. Adams is railing against is the habit of those who DO NOT do the same work as their peers, who refuse to follow the guidelines everyone else must follow, but demand to be given the same rewards. This is insane, but it is allowed to occur routinely in the name of "building self-esteem." This is foolishness and, if it is allowed to occur, leads to disaster, both for the student later in life and society as a whole. This is what we are courting when we follow politically correct thinking and demand equal results for unequal effort. I don't believe this is what Dr. Adams did. He showed that his work was equal or exceeded that of his peers, that despite meeting the assigned criteria he was denied the promised reward, that others met these standards and were rewarded, AND that the only viable reason he was denied was because of his political views. In my opinion, justice was served.
Don't worry. I am sure the Democrats will figure out a way for these two criminals to vote this November!
Ok...We are talking about the same people who think Lincoln was a Democrat, right? Yeah, hold a few minutes and maybe I will faint.

...but obfuscation is all the left has! They can't argue on facts and they certainly can't argue on the rule of law. So, in the end, the only tools at their disposal is raw emotion and yelling one word at the top of their lungs: "RACIIIIIIIST!!!!!!!" Once you drop that vocal nuke all discussion ends. WINNER!!!!! ...and with our politically correct media, shutting down meaningful conversation is all that really matters.
The reality is, Liberals are fully aware their arguments contain no logic. This is not because they are stupid. It is because they are betting the vast majority of Americans are too stupid, (or at least too distracted), to notice. The sad thing is, they are right. Just look at the last two presidential elections... My big fear right now is: this November we will see further proof when the Dems win big, or at least hold what they have.
Unfortunately, with the lot that writes articles like this, ignorance of the subject matter is not seen as something to be ashamed of, it is a point of pride. I have spoken with people who believe this stuff and I have tried to correct them when they use such terms, or grossly mislabel firearms. They look at you like you failed some sort of test. Simply knowing the subject is a sign that you are one of the hated. Personally, if this is what it takes to become a pariah amongst liberals, I am happy to be shunned.
"A woman from South Carolina, is being charged with cruelty to children after she left her children in a running, air-conditioned vehicle with her sister-in-law while she ran into a grocery store." Cruelty? Really? Well.....I guess you would have to meet her sister-in-law. Perhaps you could file the same charges against the minister who allowed the marriage. But seriously, I am waiting for someone who leaves their spouse in a running, air-conditioned vehicle being charged with domestic violence. There just is no law on the books that we can't take right over the top, is there? It's times like this that make me want to say: "Where are we going, why is it so hot and how did we get in this hand basket?!"
The only way this statement could be better would be if the President had been taking a selfie with some wealthy donators while he said it.

Point taken. This only highlights how complex this conflict is and the radicals that exist on both sides. The fact remains that there were provisions for a Palestine in the beginning. There have been attempts to return to these boarders since, most notably with Arafat. These attempts have been swatted down by elements that want total victory over peace. I maintain any true victory will be shared by all sides in the fight. That will only occur when both sides want to recognize each other's right to exist and are willing to negotiate. Until then the fight over there is unlikely to be resolved as this argument on this forum.
