The 47% number has always been used to represent those on government programs they qualify for because they were born American. (Leaving out the % that enter this country illegally and are receiving government subsidies they never paid into.) It has never referred to those on their earned Social Security nor those veterans who earn their retirement or disability.

The 47% are the people who don't pay income tax. That's EXACTLY what Mitt Romney said. It includes people on social security, people who receive medicare, veterans benefits, disability, or anyone else whose income threshold is below the level where income tax is charged, which includes a lot of hardworking people, the highest percentage of whom live in Red states. What YOU consider the moocher class, the 47% may be different, but what MItt said, was "People who don't pay income tax."

What IS the Obama doctrine? Is there a stated goal at all? How can he be against "nation-building" and our “policing the world,” and then justify turning around and creating no fly zones and launching missiles into sovereign nations?
