Obama's view is the same as Wilson's, and the same as those who instigated the French Revolution. True freedom comes from the State- because the collective will is expressed through it. The State is God and it, not the God of Abraham, confers freedom. This is also why Obama likes the idea of adding "positive rights" to the Constitution. What the Constitution is is one long warning to government: the people realize government is needed, but only to do the minimal things the individual cannot (like national defense). Obama's vision is so utterly anti-American, so foreign, I am still stunned that a)He was reelected and b)People still aren't paying attention.

On Monday, President Barack Obama delivered a monumental address to the nation. It wasn't monumental in terms of rhetoric -- in fact, it wasn't even memorable. It was monumental because it signaled for the first time just how grand Obama's ambitions for the left are. No longer is the left content to wage a war against Constitutional principles on behalf of a Marxist philosophical system. Now they will attempt to convince the American people that Constitutional principles dictate Marxism.
