Does anyone notice how the lefties can't stop themselves from using pejoratives such as "nitwit," "idiot," and "retarded" when they are attempting to respond to criticism? Too bad they aren't capable of responding in a civil, rational manner.
Actually, Pennsylvania's Department of Education is marching happily and enthusiastically to the beat of the federal drummer. They are clones of the educrats in DC and totally ignorant as to what is best for the children. We need to put control back into the LOCAL schools, NOT the Feds, and NOT the State Boards of Education. We need to GET RID OF COMMON CORE!!!
Don't forget that the blame game is coming right from the top...Obama is responsible for NOTHING...NOTHING!!!
This article is right on! Proponents continue to insist that Common Core is "state led" which is a deliberate lie. They use the name "National Governor's Association" (which sounds like it's coming from the state) as justification of their "state-led" contention. Taxpayers should know, however, that "Approximately half of NGA’s tax-provided revenue comes from the feds, and the other half from membership dues states pay. In its latest financial statement showing $16.9 million in total revenue for 2011-2012, $4.9 million of that came from the feds, $5.5 from states, and another $3 million from corporate sponsors." This has been documented in an article that can be accessed on the web: http://news.heartland.org/newspaper-article/2013/04/24/state-led-common-core-pushed-federally-funded-nonprofit. The article provides links to the IRS form for the NGA. You go, Michele! Thanks for taking on this insidious, untested, "educational" initiative that will impose huge unfunded mandates on states while doing damage to our educational system that could take decades to undo.

Jay Carney Leaving White House?

Who would hire him for anything? Who would hire a person who continually obfuscates and lies, has to KNOW he is doing so, and continues to remain in a position in which he's REQUIRED to do so? Who would hire a person with no apparent principles? Oh, maybe he'll become a senator or be hired by the Department of Justice.

Doesn't anyone moderate this site? Tex852 is writing comments that have absolutely NOTHING to do with this article and are simply serving to impose his views on others without adding anything to the conversation. It is not inappropriate to refuse to post them since they are obviously NOT related to the article.

Did you READ the article? What does THIS have to do with it? Just can't wait to get your digs in at the Republicans and change the subject from Obamacare? Typical leftie tactic!

Biden: There's 'Hatred' Behind Voter ID Laws

jy22 Wrote: Feb 27, 2014 8:15 AM
Just another one of the VP's inane statements. God help us if he were ever to become president!!! What about PA's Voter ID law? It was passed by our legislature and designed after Indiana's law which was upheld by the Supreme Court. Everything possible was done to make sure it was implemented fairly and plenty of time was provided to warn voters that they would need a photo ID to vote in the 2012 November election. However, the NAACP and others complained that it discriminated against seniors and the poor, and VOILA! It was done. In the 2012 election, voters were asked for their photo ID's but told they didn't have to have them to cast a ballot. Isn't THAT sensible? What about those of us whose votes are effectively cancelled by voter fraud (which of course does not exist LOL)? Philadelphia had 50+ precincts in the 2012 election in which NOT ONE VOTE was recorded for Romney. Really? Not ONE person accidentally pulled the wrong lever??? There is no question that decades ago voting procedures for blacks were inexcusably unfair. But two wrongs don't make a right. There is absolutely NO REASON why every individual cannot get a photo ID. The PA law was formulated fairly and with consideration for those who might have a problem obtaining one. In fighting them so vehemently, Holder's "justice department" has unquestionably earned the name "The INjustice department."
S/he isn't worth responding to. Why bother?
Oh PLEASE! And can you answer how one can even compare waterboarding which doesn't kill anyone to drone strikes of Americans by the community organizer in the White House.
