Paul Ryan's budget may not be what everyone wants but from what I understand about it,it would do away with Obamacare, what a disaster that is. It would reduce gov. spending and it would balance the budget after ten years. This is our chance to get America back on track and we the people need to make our voices heard both to the House and Senate. You know Harry Reid and his fellow democrats will vote against it. And Obama ? he doesn't even have a budget.

"It would reduce gov. spending"

No. It doesn't. It required the economy grow about 4% a year for 10 years... A pipe dream.

Why are healthcare costs increasing? Simple economics. Supply and demand.

Due to government's plethora of interventions, demand has risen, and because government attempts to skimp on payment, prices rise on the remainder of patients, those with private insurance or who pay cash.

Get government out of the healthcare regulating business, and prices wil fall, supply will increase, and quality will rise. But MORE government intervention will NOT solve the problem that the initial government intervention created.

Much easier to look at a (Projection) chart of forward promises? Rather than the Reality of the chart of the past in which we see? After taking the Presidency w/a surplus Bush hyper inflated and fleeced Americans out of their 401k's, home equity, homes and yes Jobs and confidence all while creating wealth for the wealthy? Yes, Breaking News The rich got Richer and the Poor got Poorer and the middle class shrank further but there is hope and he is a Democrat. Oh and His Budget is coming and I hope it involves closing loopholes, Havens etc, taxing Idle Government lent money and Derivatives trades, carried interest, and cap Gains and yes even limiting payoffs to lobbyists, politicians, and false profits w/distorted projections? Will it maybe?

More taxes? Laffer Curve is in effect, higher taxes now will lower future revenue. Without government cuts, the deficit will expand, and the interest owed on the debt will consume more of the federal budget, hastening its collapse.

More taxes? Be my guest. Texas will be free of this union sooner.

Sure he does. But it's so bad that even the democrats vote it down faster than you can say "what was that?".

Sigh. Even when they’re sort of doing the right thing, Republicans are incapable of using the right argument.

Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, has unveiled his proposed budget and he and other Republicans are bragging that the plan will balance the budget in 10 years.

That’s all fine and well, but good fiscal policy is achieved by reducing the burden of government spending, and that means that restraining the budget so that federal outlays grow slower than the private sector.

It’s good to balance the budget, of course, but that
