I must also say that I am astonished at the poverty of soul displayed by some of the comments to this article. It reminds me of the hatred that Germans expressed towards the Jews in the 1930s. Hopefully the remarks expressed by some against this article are the rantings of an over wrought minority and not the sentiments of thoughtful conservatives.

Have you any idea of what you are talking about? Comparison of the Jews under the Hitler Regime is uncalled for and idiotic. There seems to be an over wrought MAJORITY that do not want to treat persons that came here illegally as a citizen in any respect. If a person is not born here, they are required to follow existing laws to become citizens and not have it "bestowed" upon them by government that could be said to be in the best interests of the people they were elected to serve.

ILLEGAL aliens are costing Mexifornia ALONE $10.5 BILLION in unrecoverable funds paid to support their ILLEGAL aliens-- crime and penal costs, H/C costs, schooling, etc.

As a nation, we are in a HUGE fiscal crisis at multiple levels of guvment...we simply CANNOT AFFORD also to be the de facto welfare department for Latin America's myriad poor and ignorant.

Furthermore, we should have ZERO tolerance for those who overstay visas to remain here. Other countries, e.g. Mexico, deal with such interlopers harshly!

A nation without borders soon ceases to be a nation.

Jwbales, the overwhelming majority of the America people want illegal immigration stopped, and the borders sealed to illegal immigration. And we have the right to control our borders. Do you know what happens to illegal aliens caught in Mexico?

Latinos are religious, morally conservative and tend disproportionately to join the military. They also tend to be hard working and entrepreneurial. Do we really have too many of them?

Do we really want to pack them up, forcibly, by the millions in the greatest forced migration in human history? How many are there, 15, maybe 20 million? No one has ever moved 15 million people against their will. No one has ever moved half that many without concentration camps, forced marches of one form or another and mass death through plague.
