The psychiatrist who prescribe psychotropics to that young man undergo a strict BATTERY of tests and scrutiney? Why isn't the american medical establishment which uses drugs and butchery as a fix for all the SYMPTOMs of disease yet never address cause. This society she touts as it is structures IS the cause of most so-called unchecked mental illness. Oh and Katie...YOU have no clue as to what the founding fathers considered or intended. So please don't project your own emotionally retared rationalization onto an equation about which you KNOW NOTHING. FACT: 1. problems took said son to the gun range to learn to shoot. Fact Mommy went through the mandatory background checks to legally purchase those guns....Fact Mommy kept those guns where her emotionally unbalanced son could access them. Fact the young man was on psychotropics which OFTEN cause suicidal depressions, and uncontrolled rage when the stop working or the patient stops taking the meds. FACT more people are KILLED by drunk drivers and auto accidents in this country than in the last three military conflicts....40K on average. Fact laws, regulations, etc do not stop this. So should we ban the car? How about banning swimming pools in people back yards to prevent possible drowings...IF JUST ONE LIFE CAN BE SAVED...

Not to m ention that the founding fathers who drafted the second amendment did so with ONE GOAL in mind - to ARM the citizens who as is stated We the People ......and a Government of the people by the people for the people can TAKE the newly established govenment back should it ever be taken over by out of control zealots who think they can tell everyone else how to live and enFORC those bogus laws at the ponit of the guns of the "well armed militia" THERE IS YOUR REALITY.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who politicized the Sandy Hook tragedy within hours last Friday, just wrapped up a press conference announcing new plans to fight gun violence and to counter the National Rifle Association with his own Super PAC.
