16 Trillion in debt, neverending war, destruction of the Bill of Rights...I really, REALLY don't give a 5hit if Dinesh D'Souza is shagging someone on the side.

If you don' care whether D'Souza is shagging someone or not, why did you read the article? Did you think it was going to be about the national debt, war and/or the Bill of Rights?

A fair question. I read the title, and clicked on the link. And while I didn't expect something specifically on the national debt, war, or the Bill of Rights, I assumed there was something substantive here. In particular, because it was ABOUT Dinesh D'Souza who has a movie out that discusses the life of Obama at length, led me to wonder if the article related to the substance of the film.

Turns out it didn't.

Further, the piece was SO shallow and disjointed, I confess it was like a train wreck from which I could not turn away. I kept reading because it was so bad that I thought they must have buried the headline and that eventually it HAD to lead somewhere.

But I was wrong.

Of course those things are of exceeding importance, but does that mean that there should be a moratorium on all other subjects until after the election? She had a point to make to a specific audience, and apparently, you weren't in it. Move along, then.

Certainly it does not mean a moratorium on other subjects. That said, I don't think she had much of a point. And my point is that what she (attempts) to say is a detriment to the public discourse, given the gravity of other matters.

It's well-known D'Souza's "fiancee" is married to someone else. And of course, he's been shagging her. He's in love...He's all shook up.

Uh huh huh. Uh huh. Oh yeah.

Dinesh D'Souza's documentary, “2016: Obama's America,” has grossed $33 million, making him one of the all-time best-selling documentary filmmakers. D'Souza stepped down from the presidency of King's College in Manhattan after admitting he got engaged to a woman before divorcing his wife of 20 years.

We know these facts from D'Souza himself: Three months ago, he met a 28-year-old woman. On Sept. 28, he introduced her at a conference as his fiancée. He did not file for divorce from his wife of 20 years until Oct 4. He claims to have been separated from his wife for two years, at his...
