Returning to Constitutional limits for federal government is the only salvation for our God given rights. Gov't-OUT of education. OUT of health care. OUT of subsidizing anything (picking winners and losers). OUT of marriage. OUT of housing and insurance and retirement. OUT, OUT OUT. National security including foreign policy and the military are their purview. Mediating DISPUTES between states and meshing commerce between states is their purview. That gives the federal government plenty of room for mucking up the works and making massive mistakes. Lots of room for fraud and waste in just those areas. But it also gives them a better chance at being able to get more right by not having so much to do.

When the radicals start defending “standards,” that’s when you have to become suspicious—of the standards.

That is the case with Obama’s federalized education plan called Common Core.

Perhaps there is no clearer sign than when Mother Jones mocks alarms raised about Common Core’s national tests and student data tracking that will eliminate local control, and effectively, private and home schooling. When Linda Darling-Hammond, close pal of Bill Ayers, is in charge of developing tests, beware!
