What's wrong with this picture isn't the loud mouthed, lying, bigoted prof. bellowing but that Ewan, in order to pass, wrote 'liberal' papers because (liberalism) 'it's the latest thing'. How malleable can one mind be? Granted he's only in his late teens, early twenties, but he should have the strength of his own convictions (which were probably those of his parents w/whom he agreed). Is he going to walk both sides of the street the rest of his life? Get a spine or stay with the Democrats.....(well, Republicans aren't much better), but don't sell yourself for a better grade. You'll be making trade-offs all your life.
I had a similar reaction - another place, another time, perhaps, but NOT the week before the Healthcare issue went to the Supreme Court. I also felt many Catholics would see this as the Church's condemnation of Obama's policies as being 'not so bad' and would vote, again, by the thousands for him. In 2008, there were millions of Catholics who voted for a pro-abortion candidate w/th no compunction whatsoever. There is a huge segment in the Church of are 'liberal' Catholics. Can't imagine where they rec'd their educations.l The Church is not 'about' them, but for them but they don't see it that way.
