I refuse to buy Essence anymore. Some large corporation bought out the original owners and it's really not the same magazine it originally was. As Mr. Williams so deftly illustrates, the new owners apparently don't really have the interests of the black community at heart. Thank you, Mr. Williams, for another insightful column. I wonder if African Americans will wake up and smell the coffee before it's tragically too late.
