May be a dangerous assignment.
The Nixon Library released Nixon Tapes on June 2009. Although the quality of the recordings are poor, Nixon and an aide held a conversation recorded on January 23, 1973, discussing that day’s Supreme Court’s decisions in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. “I know that there are times when abortions are necessary. I know that,” Nixon tells an aide, then adding, “When you have a black and a white.” NIXON Tape #697-29 Nixon: “A majority of people in Colorado voted for abortion, I think a majority of people in Michigan are for abortion, I think in both cases, well, certainly in Michigan they will vote for it because they think that what’s going to be aborted generally are the little black bastards.” And by the way, I haven't voted for a Democratic president in my 50+ years on this earth, so you're barking down the wrong sewer.
Okay, so Nixon desegregated 70% of Southern public schools, but do you know what he said upon learning of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion? He stated his support for aborting black babies, calling them "little black bastards". What people say in private is how they really feel. And that desegregation movement could have started under Johnson, or did you check that, Mr. Buchanan?
" . . . most students will surf instead of learn." Speaking as a former teacher, I say that this assertion is dead on target.
God help California!
Couldn't the girl just have avoided social media for a couple of years and relied on "good old-fashioned face-to-face time with friends", including her church family? And can't caller ID help screen calls? I once taught public middle school, and my students got hold of and started abusing my cell phone number. Granted, it wasn't an iphone, but I stopped the harassment by simply switching cell phones with my husband.
