I taught my sons that poverty has nothing to do with money. Poverty begins in the heart of a person. If one is not taught values and morality then what is within that individual begins to show without. Human beings have to be taught to respect the property of others. We have to be taught to value life. We have to be taught to respond positively to life's problems. Good people don't "just happen". I lived in Tokyo for a year. I marveled at how this culture places great value on respectful behavior. I grew up in the 1950's when our own culture seemed to value respectful behavior much more than it does now. America has been on the slippery slope of moral decline for many years. It all begins with the core of a society which is the family....

It is quite obvious that the racist in this situation is Mr. Gates.
No institution of higher learning should be allowing such a hateful person instructing young blacks on how to hate. Where are Harvard's ethics?
Anyone with any descent upbringing knows that you should respect those in authority over you. That is not a bad thing. But with the likes of the irreverant Jessie Jackson and Al Sharp?ton
also teaching hate for authority to the black community is it any wonder that so many blacks are sitting in jails and prisons around this country?
I am so grateful for the wonderful black men like Larry Elders, Clarence Thomas and Bill Cosby, among so many, who were raised with some ethics and...
